Suki's Morning Links

Hello everybody!  Was making morning links posts so often that I decided to make a new blog for them.  This spiffy new blog was setup by my friends who know how to do more than post to blogs.  Thank you!

This first post is a few things already posted at the other blogs I am allowed to write on (with or without crayon!) and some new things not posted by me before.

Via Dr. Helen "A reader sent me this article about a man who was attacked by Staci Hargreaves, 33, from Stalybridge, Cheshire, in a cab:"

A woman has appeared in court charged with wounding after a man was stabbed through the eye with a stiletto heel.

Gavin Taylor, 28, remains seriously ill in hospital after the incident last Sunday.

He suffered the injury in the back of a taxi while travelling home from a night out in Huddersfield with his girlfriend.

Dr. Helen notes on her blog the lack of emotion in the reporting when it is a woman assaulting a man.  I noticed that too.  What's the deal?  Maybe I am subconsciously guilty too.  John and my beloved both call me and Sarah "Thelma and Louise" because of what we did with the Suki character in our fan fiction.  But fiction is different, right?

Charlie Wilson Died

Congressman (retired) Charlie Wilson died, the one of Charlie Wilson's War.

Odd that his nemesis on the covert budget, Jack Murtha, died the other day.

Texas Writes Its Name in the Snow Day

Texas just got buried in snow.  Dallas sees 11"
Somehow, I think they can handle it.  Nature: Don't Mess With Texas!
